Recently, Russ and I took a much needed weekend away just the two of us. We decided to go explore a place just 2 hours north of our home town – Pawhuska, OK. You might have heard about it because it is the home to Ree Drummond, aka Pioneer Woman.
I am so shocked at how quickly this town as grown. Two summers ago, my mom and I went to visit the Pioneer Woman Mercantile and the town was just starting to grow. Fast forward a year and there is so much to do in this historic town.
From great restaurants, to historical sights, boutiques, and all of the things Ree Drummond has built, the town makes for a great getaway. We stayed at the cutest Air BNB, The Farmhouse. It is part of a couple of their properties – Relatively Near the Prairie.
This farm house is amazing inside. The owners did not miss a single detail. As you can see from the pictures, it hold true to its name. We spent the day lounging in the back yard watching tv by the fire place, spent the morning watching the rain on the porch swing, and explored this beautiful town.
It is 5 bedroom, 5.5 baths with a huge back yard, games, lounging areas, covered parking, and to top it off another of their properties is next door that you can rent if you need more room. This would make the perfect girls weekend, family reunion, or just a cute weekend couples retreat.
We got amazing food and desserts from Pioneer Woman’s Bakery, then finished with dinner at a place I swear is my new favorite pizza place, P-Town. We devoured their fried dough bites and enjoyed every second of the pizza.
Thank you so much to the owners of Relatively Near the Prairie for helping Russ and I getaway!
