Recently, we took a trip to Ft. Lauderdale, FL. We kept seeing this extremely fast passenger train (Brightline) and got curious so we decided to check into it. Russ and I had never been to Miami or on a real train (outside the Zoo haha) so we took a day to go.
A day, well really about 6-8 hours in Miami is not much so we focused our energy on Bayside. This area is so cool and very touristy. It is right on the water and has tons of great bars, shops, and restaurants. It is so different than any place we had been.
We decided to take the “Millionaires Home Tour” on a large boat and it was so fun! They had great drinks and we got to see a lot more of Miami than we could have in just a few hours on foot.
When we got back, we stopped at Bubba Gump for lunch. We had the best Shrimp Mac and Cheese bake and OMG it is worth going back a million times just for that. We also stopped and got fresh smoothies at a little stand in the middle of the shops and got Strawberry Daquiries and Pina Coladas To GO from a fun bar called Daiquiri Bar right in the middle of the action.
After that, we walked up and down and looked at some of the hotels and buildings. Bayside was BUSY in the best way. There was live music right on the water, people dancing, eating, and drinking. There were boat tours, speed boats, and the coolest Hard Rock restaurant at the end of the bay.
