Where to Stay
We stayed in a VRBO and we absolutely loved it. The inside semi resembled a bachelor pad but the back yard was incredible. There are so many great hotels right on the beach too. We spent the majority of our time on Sunrise Blvd. Here are a few of the ones we loved when we explored.
We loved the look of this hotel, it was also surrounded by all of the best restaurants and fun shops in ft. Lauderdale. The best part was a walkway that led to an elevator right on the beach! It made beach access easy and is on our stay list for next time.
This is another one at the top of our list. The outside is beautiful as well and there is a walkway right to the beach. It definitely looked like a more upscale resort but the area of beach access is a little bit less crowded than the one further down.
We got really used to seeing this resort. It was right next to the areas where we spent the majority of our time. The pool at this resort looks amazing and it, like the others is right across the street to the beach giving you easy access.
Where to Eat & Drink
I have to apologize in advance – I am the worst at remembering to take photos of the restaurants when we go out to eat on vacation but these were our favs!!
I have to be honest, we went here at least 2 times a day during our trip. They had great happy hour specials, a rooftop view that overlooked the beach and was dog-friendly. Besides having great drinks, they had AMAZING food for a great price and it was a very fun atmosphere. (BTW this happens every trip. We find a place we love and keep going back) **Dog Friendly
Things to Try: Catfish & Chips / Fish & Chips / Shrimp Tacos / Frozen Margaritas
We went to this bar and restaurant for dinner but it would also be great for lunch. It is right across the street from the beach and has a very fun vibe. The food is great also. ** Dog Friendly
Things to Try: Empanadas / Queso with Beef / Cuban Tacos /
This restaurant is not on the beach but so fun! We loved the area and the local vibe. They had tons of beers on tap and the patio area was awesome! They also had an amazing brunch menu with bottomless mimosas! ** Dog Friendly
Things to Try: Pub Pretzel & Beer Cheese / Brew Pub PhillySteak Flatbread / Brass Tap Burger
Shooters is an awesome restaurant with an even better vibe. It came highly recommended from multiple people and is right on the waterfront. They also have a fun brunch!
Things to Try: Chicken Pesto Flatbread / Clam Chowder / New England Lobster Roll
We ate at H2O Cafe for breakfast on our last day. The patio was dreamy and right across the street from the beach. They had a ton of different brunch options and their dinner menu looked amazing too. ** Dog Friendly Outside
Things to Eat: French Toast / Waffles / Breakfast Sandwiches
Other places that were recommended: Coconuts, El Comino, The Rooftop, Louie Bossie, Aruba, Kilwins Ice Cream
