Over the weekend, Russell and I had the opportunity to once again visit Kansas City for my birthday. This year, we wanted to step it up a bit and go to at least one special dinner while we were there. We LOVE the Country Club Plaza district and all of the restaurants there so we figured it was a good place to start our search.
While exploring, we stumbled across The Fontaine, a beautiful hotel and restaurant at the end of Country Club Plaza. We were in love with the look of the restaurant, the extensive menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and best of all the view!
We had the opportunity to try Parker at The Fontaine for dinner on Saturday night. We were taken into the dining room which had a beautiful fireplace and an amazing view overlooking the Plaza’s skyline. The restaurant itself was quiet and quaint and the staff was amazing!
The dinner menu had so many delicious options for appetizers, dinner, sides, and of course dessert. They also had a great selection of both wine and beer which we loved! We got adventurous and tried a couple of new beers and wines are were so impressed with them. Everything on the menu looked amazing and it was so hard to decide but Russell and I both ended up loving what we got!
You guys know I always judge how good restaurants are off their sides… I have no idea why but I am a major sides person. Their mac and cheese may be one of the best I ever had. The portions were incredibly generous and everything we ordered was cooked perfectly.
I was so full by the time dessert rolled around that I didn’t get as adventurous as I should. The whole dessert menu looked amazing but we decided to make sure we got to try a dessert we had to get French Macaroons. Even though Russ and I are typically ice cream or cheesecake fans, had so much fun trying all of the different flavors and comparing the ones we liked.
It was such a special dinner and on we won’t forget! I speak for both of us when I say we give it 5 Stars! I can’t wait to go back next year and hopefully not only stay at The Fontaine but also try go to The Parker for lunch and brunch.
A special thank you to Parker at The Fontaine for having us for dinner! As always, all opinions are my own, I only share with you guys things I genuinely love and with tons of you always asking me about KC I couldn’t wait to share this gem with you.
