Happy Monday Friends! You will notice over the next couple of weeks I have a total fascination with jumpers/ overalls. There is something so fun about them and I can’t get enough.
This cute pink jumper is a favorite from Pink Petal Boutique in Edmond. The buttons are darling, the top is perfect, and I love the pink color. I was excited to find that it wasn’t too short – with so many overalls I feel like they barely cover my butt so most of the time I am forced to size up (anyone else)?
I wanted to share a fun secret that I discovered by accident a couple of years ago. When I was in college, I had an obsession with tennis shoes. I wore them every chance I could and I loved having a closet full.. Well, that obsession got expensive quick. One day Russ and I were in Champs and I found these black and pink Jordans that I was in love with – little did I know they were kids but they were so cheap I had to try them on. Note: I wear an 8-8.5 in most shoes.
Russ & I decided I would just try on the size 7 (in kids) just for the fun of it. They fit perfectly! After that, I always was drawn to looking at the kid’s tennis shoes if I couldn’t find any in women’s I liked.
I have been looking for a pair of slip on tennis shoes for weeks now so when I found these at DSW (in the kid’s section & rose gold) I decided to give my trick another try. These 7s with the open back fit great and they are so comfortable.
So here’s the Hack – if you are a size 8.5 and down – give kids shoes a try next time you are at Target, DSW, or somewhere with easy access to shoes and see if you can find a size that works for you! Most of the time a 7 in kids compares to an 8 in womens, 6 to 7, 5 to 6, and so on!
Have any of you ever done this? P.S. if you love these shoes but don’t want kids – I have linked a great pair that looks almost identical here!
Ahh I love this! You look darling in that jumper.
Thank you! I’m obsessed!
