When I was in high school, I was always told that wearing white after labor day was a major NO. As the fashion industry changed and evolved that little rule changed with it. I for one jumped right on this train. I have always loved white, taupes, and greys together. I think they compliment each other so well and give you a totally different look than the traditional summer/spring colors.
I wore this outfit out to lunch and a movie with Russell on Saturday and I got so many looks and people saying they never knew you could wear white jeans in winter. I am here to tell you YES you can and you should embrace it.
To really make white jeans look good in winter I suggest investing in these five things:
- Grey / Taupe Over the knee boots
- A great tan or grey sweater
- An oversized thermal or button up top (Try tying up for a more feminine look)
- A great jean or leather jacket
- A darker or nude lipstick
All of these things will help give your look that traditional wintery feel. Try not to add to many colors, stick to muted or warm tones. I firmly believe your lipstick color can change the look of your outfit, so I always go for a darker berry, nude, or burgundy lip with white jeans. If you are trying to dress your look up try paring your white jeans with a great cream sweater and cream pea coat. You can’t go wrong with these neutrals tones and white!
