Happy Monday! I’m sorry I was so MIA last week. I had a ton going on with my family, even more going on at work and after work which left me too tired to do anything haha. I wanted to hop on here and share with you all a couple of things. First, The Finishing Touch turned 6 months old today, so I want to hear from you on what you want to see more of! Second, you can now expect blog posts Monday through Thursday (and sometimes Friday) so get excited :)! Now on to today’s look.
I love the idea of open front vests. If you followed the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, you probably saw tons of blogger raving over them. The problem that I found is that a lot of them, if not most of them are anywhere from $60-150 dollars.
I don’t mind spending a lot of money on some items, but until I knew how much I would wear a style like this, I really did not feel comfortable doing that. This white vest was the perfect solution. It is under $20 and it also comes in brown making it a fabulous dupe for the Cashmere one at Nordstrom. I am always hesitant about buying cheaper sweaters. I have had bad experiences loving them just to have them snag easy or fray. So far this one has stayed in perfect condition.
I paired it with one of my favorite new pairs of dark jeans and this hot pink tank. The pink gave it that pop I was looking for. Adding the dark denim and white kept it both fun and work appropriate.
I have linked a few of my favorites for you below! I have also decided these vests & long kimono’s are my go to this fall season! What is your go to?
P.S. Thank you again to all of you who have followed me, engaged with me, and encouraged me the last six months. I never would have dreamed I would come to care this much about my little corner of the web. I have so fun and exciting life changes happening in the coming weeks and I can’t wait to share them. I hope you all have a great week!
