I am not kidding when I tell you I love denim skirts this season. I have had to stop myself from buying every denim skirt I see.
This denim skirt has to be my favorite yet. I love the distressed details and the multiple button closure. The other great thing about this is the material. I say this all of the time but having a bigger backside has some limitations. Some of the denim skirts I have tried on have been either too loose in the waist to fit my butt or way to tight so the skirt is gaping at the legs. Believe me when I tell you this skirt is perfect. It is a very stretchy and flexible which is perfect for any body shape.
Between my distressed jean, distressed shorts, and now this distressed skirt I think I have all of my bases covered. The distressed trend is on point and you can find pairs in all styles, sizes, and price points. When it comes to my jeans and shorts, I don’t mind spending a little more on them. With denim skirts however I try to go a little cheaper. This one is from Forever 21 and comes in 3 different colors for under $20. Forever 21, H&M, PacSun and American Eagle all have a wide assortment of denim skirts that make great spring/summer staples.
I paired this skirt with one of my all-time favorite Sam Edelman Heels. They are from last season but I have linked a couple of places that still have some in stock. They are so fun and the details are unbelievable. They are giving me all of the summer/vacation vibes.
I also paired it will this grey halter top. Typically I do not wear shorter/crop tops but with higher waisted bottoms, I am definitely open to the idea. This one is great because it is extra flowy and the neckline balances out the crop. Unfortunately this exact one is no longer available but I have linked a few others that would work perfectly.
As far as accessories go, I didn’t add too many. I have on a great pair of ear climber earrings in gold. I also have on my new Polaroid Eyewear sunglasses. I am obsessed with these glasses. They are the perfect shape and size. I have found that some aviators take up to much of my face so I was glad to find a pair that had smaller frames. Unlike some colored aviators that run $150-300 these are under $100. This style comes in a few different colors besides pink including grey, gold, and blue (YES PLEASE!) I have linked them above but this brand is also available at Nordstrom, ASOS, Dillards, and select styles on Amazon.
On a slightly different note, my boyfriend’s birthday is next week and his is wanting some new shirts. Does anyone have any ideas about where to get awesome button downs or any other style? I definitely want to get him some unique ones you can’t find just anywhere. Thanks Babes! Have a good week & keep an eye out for my post on my trip to Pioneer Woman’s hometown 🙂
