Long Cardigan Grey (Similar) // Long Cardigan Cream // Raw Hem Jeans (Under $100) // Blush Lace Cami // Ivory Lace Cami // Peep Toe Booties (Tan) //  Peep Toe Booties (Leather)

This bi-polar Oklahoma weather has me turning more and more to spring transition pieces. One of my favorites is a longer cardigan. These are perfect wardrobe staples, especially if you can find one you LOVE. This cardigan is the perfect length and is light enough weight to wear when the weather gets warmer.

Long cardigans are great to throw on over a dress in the spring or styled here with a silk cami. If you missed my previous post with and featuring a great scallop dress, this grey cardi was the perfect length. Even though the most popular way to wear a cardigan like this is with a dress or jeans, it would also style great with a pair of cut off shorts or even a jean skirt. Cardigans are an easy way to dress up almost any outfit and are can be very comfortable.

Two of my other picks for transition pieces are peep toe booties and silk Camis. Both were very popular in the fall and winter but can be carried into spring. Being a shoe lover I am so excited to wear peep toe booties with everything this spring especially with dresses and my distressed white jeans.

Silk/slip tops are also great transition pieces. Although I love slip dresses, these camis are easy to throw on with a pair of shorts or tucked into high waisted jeans but could also be dressed up for work with a pencil skirt or a pair of ankle pants. Honestly, this will probably be my uniform for the next couple of months :). It makes that simple 9-5 look so chic and stylish. To finish the look just throw on a simple necklace and a blazer/sweater and you are good to go.

I’m a firm believer that everyone needs a few good transition pieces. What are your favorites?

  1. Long cardis are a must-have for me – North Carolina weather is about as flip-floppy as it gets! It was 70 degrees here just Friday, and we had snow Monday morning. It’s 40 degrees now! Anyway, I’m afraid to break out anything peep-toe until I can predict the weather with some semblance of certainty lol. Your outfit, however, is adorable 🙂 Great look!

I’ve only just come across your blog but totally love that header, I need to make myself something pretty like that. I love it!x
